Domaine Guillot-Broux « Les Genièvrières » 2019 - Mâcon-Cruzille blanc (organic)

Domaine Guillot-Broux was founded in 1978 by Jean-Gérard and Jacqueline Guillot (Broux was her maiden name). The estate is now run by their children, Patrice and Emmanuel Guillot. The 17 hectares of vines are spread over 3 villages: Cruzille, Grévilly and Chardonnay, divided into 3 appellations: Bourgogne, Mâcon Cruzille and Mâcon Chardonnay. 

This Mâcon-Cruzille is aged 11 months in oak barrels. The grapes come from the hillsides, from steeply sloping parcels planted in 1983 - the vineyard had been abandoned since the phylloxera crisis. This complex Chardonnay oscillates between mineral notes and a certain roundness.
