Thierry Ledain “Mon Chardon né” 2019 - Beaujolais blanc
A Beaujolais aged 12 months in oak barrels. Expressive and complex, the nose presents floral notes at first, then evolves on white fruit aromas such as pear. With a nice balance and a pleasant freshness, we find a thirst-quenching minerality and flavors of vanilla and exotic fruits.
Created in 2007, at a time when many winemakers in the Beaujolais were abandoning the hillsides or thinking of stopping, Domaine de Rochefolle was built up piece by piece, plot by plot by its current owner, Thierry Ledain. Started with barely 7 hectares, the property now extends over 55 hectares, with a diversity of terroirs skilfully elaborated. Thierry Ledain's exploitation is certified HVE (High Environmental Value) since 2018.
