Château Lafargue "Cuvée Alexandre" 2018 - Pessac-Léognan Blanc
Produced from Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris, the Cuvée Alexandre is aged on fine lees for 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels with stirring. It offers a beautiful aromatic complexity, freshness, and both roundness and tension.
Located in Marcillac, Château Lafargue has been a family property since 1920. Since 2016, the domaine is managed by Carole and Lionel Peyrout, Jean-Pierre's oldest daughter and son-in-law. They are the 5th generation to take over the torch of this beautiful estate, spread over 15.5 hectares of vines: 12.5 hectares planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and 3 hectares planted with Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris.
